The General Chairman of the Indonesian Athletics Association Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, is targeting the new athletics training center being built in North Sumatra Province to begin operations in 2026.
"We are building another training center in North Sumatra, which I think will be better than Pangalengan," said Luhut Binsar Panjdaitan at the 2025 PASI Congress in Solo, Central Java.
Currently, PB PASI has two flagship training centers: in Pangalengan, West Java, and Mimika, Papua. A similar facility is also under construction in North Sumatra, resulting in three flagship facilities for PB PASI to develop high-achieving athletes.
