Guillermo Ruiz Hernández resigns from the State Attorney General's Office

Mexicali, December 7.- Attorney  Guillermo Ruiz Hernández  submitted his resignation as Attorney General of Baja California, a position he held on November 1, 2019, with the start of the administration headed by Jaime Bonilla Valdez.

Today, I am submitting my resignation from my position . When we arrived at this institution, we had a very serious problem: the lack of police certification. We had 24 percent of the police certified; today, the State Guard is 99 percent certified," he explained at the Security roundtable this Tuesday in Tijuana.

As part of his achievements, he said that during 2018, the police salary was around 8 thousand pesos and by 2020 an increase was achieved to 20 thousand pesos and they are currently earning 28 thousand 500 pesos .

The official known as "Titi" Ruiz stated that improvements in works totaling more than 300 million pesos were achieved in two years.

For her part, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda recognized the work done by the prosecutor and presented him with a plaque recognizing his achievements at the helm of the Prosecutor's Office.

“The fight against crime and organized crime is measured by concrete results, such as the capture of suspected criminals and the reduction of crime rates. We must also consider what is not so easily seen: the efforts that prevent acts of crime and violence,” the president explained.

He noted that in both cases, the prosecutor performed a worthy job and said, "I want to extend my deepest appreciation."
