Tijuana, June 27. Former Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez announced that she received a new complaint from City Hall, for which she asked the current administration to "fix the seawall, fix the problems, assuming without conceding, if I committed any irregularities, fix them and throw me in jail."
On his personal Facebook profile, Caballero Ramírez broadcast live from his home for about 15 minutes, beginning by announcing that "I just received another lawsuit."
"Enough of this childishness (...) show that you can take the reins of this city without wasting your time with me," said the former municipal leader.
He also accused the current administration of eliminating programs that operated during his administration and of allowing minors to return to work on the streets of Tijuana.
At another point in her video, she stated: "Governor, stop chasing me; all of Baja California, all of Tijuana knows it's your obsession to think I'm after you. I'm not after you. I don't intend to get to any position by chasing anyone. What matters is what the people of Baja California want," the former local representative asserted, while also asserting that doubts remain about the alleged home of Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda.
He called the various lawsuits against him "nonsense" and emphasized that "my house is already credited to my tax return this year, and if there are any irregularities, arrest me, but stop wasting your time."
She added, "They want to keep calling me, I will continue to attend, but not before telling you what's happening to you; you are negligent, you didn't know how to manage the municipality or the state," the former mayor stated before ending her live broadcast by showing off her home.
