In May, the Attorney General's Office seized nearly 300 kg of marijuana in 57 raids in the northwest.


 Mexico City.- Last May, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) conducted 57 raids in the northwest of the country, seizing various drugs, weapons, and stolen fuels, and arresting 29 potential perpetrators of various crimes.

The agency, through the Northwest Region of the Criminal Investigation Agency, complied with these court orders as part of its directive to combat crimes against health, intellectual property, and hydrocarbons in the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, and Sonora.

Thanks to these operations, 298 kilograms of marijuana and 49 kilograms of fentanyl were seized, as well as various smaller quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, crystal meth, and other substances.

Also recovered were 21 liters of hydrocarbons, cash (both local and foreign), cell phones, tactical gear, two grenade launchers, and other items commonly used by organized crime groups.

Regarding investigations related to the crime of human trafficking, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) conducted three raids in the northwest of the country, two in Baja California and one in Chihuahua, where 37 migrants were located, 12 people were arrested, and four properties, ammunition, marijuana, and a handgun were seized.
