The Indonesian U-21 women's national volleyball team lost to Vietnam with a score of 0-3 (15-25, 16-25 and 18-25) in the first match of the 2025 Women's U-21 Volleyball World Championship at the Jawa Pos Arena, Surabaya.
Indonesia actually started the first game with an impressive performance after recording three consecutive points.
However, Vietnam, who played slowly but surely, was able to score points after points to turn the score around to 15-12 in the middle of the set.
The Srikandi Muda team tried to continue to reduce the score through quick attacks.
But Vietnam, who were able to play calmly and solidly, were able to secure victory in the first set with a score of 25-15.
In the second set, Vietnam tried to control the tempo of the game and exploit gaps through fast attacks.

Trailing by five points, Indonesia still struggled to build an attack capable of breaking down Vietnam. Vietnam, capitalizing on the momentum, scored six consecutive points and closed out the second set with a 25-16 victory.
In the third set, the Srikandi Muda team devised a strategy of quick attacks. Junayda Santi and her teammates' actions slowly but surely gave Indonesia a 14-11 lead.
Vietnam, having slacked off for a while, slowly managed to close in on Indonesia's score. Two aces from DT Huong turned the score around in Vietnam's favor, taking a 22-17 lead.
Vietnam continued to maintain their lead and closed the third game with a 25-18 victory.
