Young Indonesian rock climber Haddan Malik Baqmuhyibar won the gold medal in the U-17 men's speed event at the 2025 IFSC Youth Asian Championship Guiyang in China.
Haddan defeated host athlete Zhao Yicheng in the final. The 16-year-old from earned a wildcard after Zhang suffered a false start.
Japanese rock climber Sota Saito won the bronze medal with a time of 5.41 seconds, according to the results recorded by the world climbing federation IFSC Climbing.
The Indonesian youth rock climbing team also won two bronze medals, each won by Naura Jasmine Rayya and Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi.
Naura won bronze in the women's U-17 speed event after surpassing South Korean Ham Juyeon's time of 8.96 seconds, while her opponent clocked 9.08 seconds.
