The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has reminded all parties to remain calm and cooperate amid the recent demonstrations, given their negative impact on the economy.
Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Anindya Bakrie stated that the current economic situation must be faced together while maintaining security so that everyone can return to work and carry out their activities.
As long as the security situation is unfavorable, economic activity will be disrupted, and the community will experience negative impacts. He believes the best way to convey aspirations is through dialogue.
He said that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its deepest condolences for the death of Affan Kurniawan, an online motorcycle taxi driver.
"The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) also expresses its condolences and sympathy to Affan Kurniawan's family. May the deceased find eternal happiness and may God grant the family strength," said Anindya.
Kadin also expressed sympathy for Moh Umar Amirudin, another ojol driver who was seriously injured in the same incident.
