Lack of understanding of obesity is a challenge to implementing PNPK

 Dr. Maya Surjadjaja, Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Association of Clinical Nutritionists, said the public's lack of understanding of the meaning of obesity is a challenge in implementing the National Health Service Guidelines (PNPK) for obesity.

"We ourselves may not be sure we're obese. We don't really understand what obesity (body weight) actually is," Maya said during a media discussion on obesity.

PDGKI issued a PNPK for obesity which was approved by the Minister of Health.
