López Obrador rules out sanctions against Sedena personnel for hacking.

San Pablo de Mitla, Oaxaca, October 2.—Concluding his tour of the state with the inauguration of a new branch of Banco del Bienestar, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, on his way to his truck, ruled out the possibility that the  hacking  of the Ministry of National Defense would result in sanctions against the agency's personnel. Smiling, he responded emphatically with a no to the question about the consequences of this incident.

When asked about the incident, which exposed millions of military documents, he added: "No, I'm in favor of not doing so. People impose sanctions, and they don't like those things."

Amid the crowd gathered as the President walked toward his SUV after inaugurating a new branch of Banco del Bienestar, with the presence of General Secretary of National Defense Luis Cresencio Sandoval, Governor Alejandro Murat, and Governor-elect Salomón Jara.
