The four-year twilight ended yesterday in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when El Sol, Luis Miguel, kicked off his highly anticipated tour of several countries across the continent. Some lucky fans managed to secure a ticket for the first of 10 dates the singer will perform in the South American country.
El Sol's fans went wild from the moment he stepped onto the Movistar Arena stage: "I needed this in my life... El Sol rises like a new dawn... I love him so much"; "El Rey has arrived, nothing else matters"; "Love, love, love"; "He's my everything"; "Unbeatable"; and "Our Sol driving the Argentine public wild at the start of his 2023 tour with classics like Culpable o no, esa voz y guapura" (Guilty or No), that voice and his handsomeness" were some of the comments fans posted on social media.
As in his prime, looking fit, dancing and roaming the stage, the 53-year-old singer delighted his audience with his greatest hits such as La incondicional (Unconditional), Devuélveme el amor (Return to Me), Si te vas (If You Go), Amor, amor, amor (Love, Love, Love), Culpable o no (Guilty or No), Te Necesito (I Need You), Hasta que me olvidars (Some of the most sung and cheered), Suave (Sweet), Tú y yo (You and I), Entrégate (Suffer), Ahora te puedes marcha (Now You Can Go), and La chica del bikini azul (The Girl in the Blue Bikini), among others. Videos were also shown depicting moments in Luis Miguel's life, including the duet he performed with Sheena Easton on the song Me gustas tal como Eres (I Like You Just the Way You Are).
He even brought Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán to sing "Te vas porque yo quiero que te vayas" and "La Bikina"; he also sang Carlos Gardel's iconic tango "Volver," danced by the couple Tango Medley, from among the 35 songs chosen by the singer.
