Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has confirmed that he will return to the ring in December 2025, but has not yet revealed his potential opponent.
"This year, this year, (in) December," said Manny Pacquiao when interviewed by boxing reporter Dyan Castillejo in a video uploaded to the KBOXtv YouTube account monitored in Jakarta, Friday.
In his latest match, Pacquiao was able to hold the defending World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight (66.6 kg) champion Mario Barrios to a draw (115-113, 114-114, 114-114) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, United States, on July 20.
Following the fight, both boxers, dissatisfied with the draw, opened up the possibility of a rematch. However, no official agreement has been announced regarding the desired rematch.
Pacquiao's ability is still quite stable at the age of 46, also giving rise to rumors circulating among fans about another fight, namely a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, after the two met a decade ago, which Mayweather won.
