Ducati Lenovo racer Marc Marquez secured pole position at the Hungarian GP which took place at Balaton Park, Hungary.
This achievement made Marc the first rider to secure pole position at a circuit that has just entered the main MotoGP calendar this season.
Marc took pole position after being the fastest with a time of 1 minute 36.518 seconds in the qualifying session.
"I mean, it's not a surprise because we're on a new circuit and we're all looking for new lap times," Marc Marquez was quoted as saying by MotoGP on Saturday.
Marc admitted that he was not too surprised by the competition between Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi and Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider Fabio Di Giannnantonio who were closely following him.
