Hannover, September 24—To analyze the possibilities that electric vehicles offer to various economic and social sectors in the state of Baja California, Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda participated in the International Motor Show in Hannover, Germany, where she met with representatives of major companies producing electric-powered automobiles.
The state leader noted that this meeting is part of a strategy to strengthen the state's sustainability, since eliminating emotions has direct and indirect positive consequences for the population's quality of life.
The Baja California governor toured the fair, visiting booths from Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, Siemens, ZF, Volkswagen, Webasto, Scania, Man, and Mahle, all of which specialize in the electrical sector. The governor also attended demonstrations of how to drive and operate these vehicles, which range from buses and cargo transport vehicles to compact vehicles.
Similarly, Avila Olmeda noted that these public policies geared toward electric mobility are aligned with the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda, to which Mexico is a member. Therefore, it represents a comprehensive vision that will strengthen the state's development not only by generating significant fuel savings, but will also be instrumental in eliminating pollution and improving people's health.
