Japanese golfer Miyu Yamashita won the 2025 Women's British Open at Royal Porthcawl, Wales, early Monday morning WIB, to claim her first major title of her career.
Yamashita recorded two-under par in the fourth round and finished the tournament with a total of 277 strokes or 11 under par, according to the LPGA website in Jakarta on Monday morning.
He was two strokes ahead of compatriot Minami Katsu and English golfer Charley Hull who both finished in second place with a total of 279 strokes or 9 under par.
This victory makes Yamashita the third Japanese woman to win the British Open after Ayako Okamoto in 1984 and Hinako Shibuno in 2019.
