Parents of the 43 sue the defunct Cisen for information release

Mexico City, September 25.- Parents of the 43 Ayotzinapa student teachers who disappeared nine years ago held a protest in front of the main entrance of the now-defunct Center for National Security and Investigation (CISEN), now known as the National Intelligence Center (CNI), demanding that it hand over all the information it has, which is "crucial" to determining the whereabouts of the students.

Unlike the demonstrations held in previous days, this time a group of hooded student teachers began painting graffiti on the gray facade of the CNI, reading "9 years of injustice" and "Perpetrators."

Additionally, on the main gate of the facility, they wrote “AYOTZI 43” in red spray paint.

The most tense moment came immediately when dozens of firecrackers were thrown inside the CNI facilities, echoing down the narrow Real de Contreras Avenue.

Earlier during the rally, Melitón Ortega, a spokesperson for the families, stated that this intelligence agency "was also monitoring each and every activity of the students at the Ayotzinapa Teachers' College" during the events of September 26 and 27, 2014.
