Threads is testing a new feature to make it easier for its platform users to share long texts in a single post.
Meta confirmed to the technology that it was conducting a trial of the new Threads feature.
A feature called text attachments allows Threads users to attach a block of text to a post instead of creating a thread containing several different posts when they want to share more in-depth thoughts and ideas.
App researcher Radu Oncescu first discovered the feature on iOS and shared screenshots of it.
According to the in-app description, the feature is designed to allow users to attach longer text and get creative using formatting tools to share deeper thoughts, news snippets, book quotes, and more.
