Tigor Tanjung, Secretary General of the Indonesian Athletics Association said the 2025 PLN Electric Run is a momentum for national runners to evaluate their training results.
"Many of our runners still need an event like this (PLN Electric Run) to evaluate their training results and even to pursue achievements," said Tigor Tanjung at the launch of the 2025 PLN Electric Run in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The PLN Electric Run 2025 event, held by PT PLN (Persero) in collaboration with Kompas Daily, will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, Banten, on November 2. The third running event will feature three categories: 5 kilometers (km), 10 km, and 21.1 km ( half marathon ) with a target of 7,500 runners.
Tigor stated that his team was very pleased to be involved in the event because it not only provided a competitive platform for athletes but also carried out the environmental sustainability campaign mission, which is one of the important issues raised by the World Athletics organization.
The 2025 PLN Electric Run, recognized by PB PASI, provides an opportunity for Indonesian runners to test their abilities, as the competition is held in accordance with international standards.
