The General Chair of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI), Imam Sudjarwo, stated that the 2025 Women's U-21 World Volleyball Championship was a success.
The tournament, which was held for the first time in Indonesia, took place from August 7 to 17 in Surabaya, East Java.
Imam Sudjarwo said that a total of 24 countries that were contestants were very impressed with the service provided by Indonesia as the host.
"The event was a success, and we chose a good month, a month of struggle. So we chose August, a sacred month (because it coincided with the Indonesian Independence Day)...thank God, the event went well, smoothly, and successfully," Imam Sudjarwo told ANTARA in Surabaya, East Java, on Sunday.
Imam Sudjarwo, hosting a world-class volleyball championship for the first time, said that this was also a historic milestone for Indonesia in the international volleyball arena.
