Persib Bandung successfully qualified for the AFC Champions League (ACL) II East zone group stage after defeating the Philippine team, Manilla Digger FC with a score of 2-1 at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung City.
From the start of the match, Maung Bandung immediately attacked the opposing defense down the right flank. Several chances were created, but none yielded any results.
A dangerous opportunity came from Manila Digger in the 21st minute through Saiko Ceesay's shot which went wide of Teja Paku Alam's right goal.
Persib got a golden opportunity in the 33rd minute through Berguinho's shot in the penalty box, but the ball was still able to be blocked by the Manila Digger back line.
The deadlock was broken in the 38th minute when Luciano Guaycochea unleashed a long-range shot. The ball deflected off an opponent before entering the net, giving Persib a 1-0 lead at halftime.
