Persik moves to Gresik to face Madura United

The Persik Kediri team, East Java, has temporarily moved to use the Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium, Gresik Regency, as the venue for the match against Madura United in the continuation of the 2025/2025 League 1.

Chairman of the Persik Kediri Organizing Committee, Tri Widodo, stated that the decision was taken because until now the facilities at the Brawijaya Kediri Stadium have not been completed for repairs.

"Brawijaya Stadium isn't ready yet. There's been no progress in fixing the lights. The minimum requirement for lights is 1,500 lumens, and Brawijaya Stadium in Kediri doesn't meet that requirement. So, we're waiting for the lighting repairs to be completed," he said in Kediri on Wednesday.

He added that another facility that wasn't ready was the players' changing rooms. Meanwhile, the grass on the field was in good condition. To improve the condition of the field, a topdressing was performed, which involved filling in any hollow spaces to ensure even coverage. Any plants that weren't growing well were patched.

He said that in the match scheduled at home for Persik Kediri, the venue had to be taken outside Kediri.
