President Prabowo Subianto has approved the formation of a Workers' Welfare Council and a Termination of Employment Task Force the plans of which were announced by the President during the commemoration of International Workers' Day.
"We would like to convey that what we have been discussing and designing together regarding the PHK Task Force and the Workers' Welfare Council has recently been approved and signed by the President," said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who is also the Presidential Spokesperson, when met at the Presidential Palace.
Pras, as he is popularly known, continued the process, stating that the government will currently hold a meeting with the Ministry of Manpower, representatives from various labor union confederations, and representatives from business associations such as Apindo and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
