Policewomen from the Indonesian National Police Headquarters conducted a pilgrimage and scattered flowers at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery (TMPN), to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the Indonesian Policewomen.

According to an official statement, the event was led by Senior Commissioner of Police Yolanda Evalyn Sebayang, Chair of the 77th Anniversary Committee for the Indonesian Policewomen's Police, and was attended by representatives of the Indonesian Police Headquarters' Policewomen Work Unit (Satker).

Yolanda said the pilgrimage and flower-laying activities were a form of gratitude and respect from policewomen for the services of the heroes who fought for Indonesia's independence.

"We want to commemorate their services and use this moment as a moment of self-reflection to continue emulating the spirit of service, dedication, and courage of our predecessors in carrying out their duties as members of the Indonesian National Police," he said.

Furthermore, he continued, this momentum serves as a reminder for all policewomen to continue to improve their professionalism and provide the best service to the public.

"This year's commemoration of Policewomen's Day serves as a reminder for us to continuously improve our integrity, professionalism, and empathy in providing services to the public. The spirit of these heroes will always inspire us in every step of our service," she said.
