Progress reviewed on the Elevated Viaduct and Otay 2

Tijuana, November 3. Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda participated in a meeting to discuss the 
progress made by the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) in the construction of the Mesa de Otay II International Crossing and the Elevated Viaduct .

The meeting, held at the General Works Residence, located near the San Ysidro Port of Entry, was intended to review progress and propose actions to speed up the development of these projects in Tijuana.

The Otay 2 port of entry is Tijuana's third international crossing and will have 20 lanes, 10 for cars and 10 for trucks. The total investment is 5.888 billion pesos.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT), the project is 86.8 percent complete. It is expected to be inaugurated in 2024.

The cost of this project is 12 billion pesos.

The head of the state's executive branch emphasized the support of Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for Baja California , especially in allocating resources and technical assistance to projects that directly impact people's well-being.
