Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is reportedly testing a large 8,500 mAh power capacity on a device with a thickness of under 8.5 millimeters.
This news was reported by Gizmochina, Thursday, which stated that this is interesting because currently there are still many cellphones that have a thickness of more than 8 millimeters but the battery capacity is still relatively small, around 5000 mAh.
One example is the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is 8.2 millimeters thick but can only accommodate a 5000 mAh battery, which is of course smaller in capacity than the one currently being tested by Redmi.
