Rosarito, April 14. The 5.2 magnitude earthquake that struck this Monday morning in California, with its epicenter in the city of Julian, caused no damage to people or buildings belonging to the Rosarito City Hall, reported Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz.

He reported that after a review by personnel from the Civil Protection and Fire Department (DPCB), the balance was confirmed to be zero.

The mayor reported the evacuation of 1,416 people from both the City Hall and the DIF Daycare Center in the Reforma neighborhood, as well as offices of the State Government, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), the bureaucrats' union, and the Baja California Convention Center.

Adame Muñoz urged the public to report emergencies or damage to homes by calling 911. The director of Civil Protection and Firefighters, Joaquín Mercado de Santiago, reported that the 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at 10 a.m. with its epicenter four kilometers south of Julian, California, and was felt in several municipalities in Baja California.

Santiago Market reported that exhaustive inspections are ongoing at various points in the city and warned of the importance of considering the possible aftershocks of the earthquake, so it is important to remain alert.
