Tijuana, August 4. Workers at the private security company PS&S reported that their pay has been withheld for three weeks, a situation affecting around 25 people, some of whom no longer have enough to pay for transportation and daily food.
Indalecio García, PS&S night supervisor , explained that payday is Wednesday and it appears their salaries will not be paid this week either.
He indicated that neither management nor HR staff have responded to them, and all they've received are unfulfilled promises.
He acknowledged that there had been delays in their payments in the past, but they didn't last more than three days, so now they fear the company is bankrupt and will fire them without giving them severance pay .
" They are feeding us lies (...) they blame the bank, the bank blames them, and so they keep passing the buck to each other," he complained during the demonstration he held this Monday with 10 of his colleagues.
García noted that 25 employees are affected, and the situation is such that some have already begun looking for other jobs, as they have families to support.
He mentioned that in his case, the company owes him around 13,000 pesos and the majority are in the same situation, so they will seek legal advice to file a formal complaint with the appropriate authority.
"Some have children, some no longer have enough money to pay rent or transportation; there are different situations, so we would like your support so that justice is served ," he said.
