Mexicali, July 15.- Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda announced that a percentage of the funding from the "Capital Semilla 2023" program will be allocated to entrepreneurs with disabilities, thus contributing to the economic inclusion of this vulnerable sector.
The state leader stated: "We are interested in ensuring that all people with disabilities in Baja California have the support they need to start their own businesses and become financially independent."
She pointed out that 50% of the resources are earmarked for women entrepreneurs. It should be noted that the call for proposals has a budget of five million pesos for this year or until the budget is exhausted, so this initiative will significantly encourage applicants to develop their business projects to achieve economic autonomy and promote the creation of decent jobs.
The Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Ignacio Honold Morales, noted that the program is aimed at those currently starting their business and who have been registered with the Tax Administration System (SAT) for at least six months. Up to 25,000 pesos are awarded to those starting a business, and they are accompanied by training, support in developing a business model, and advice for formalization.
