Iga Swiatek rallied from a 0-3 deficit early in the first set to defeat Jasmine Paolini 7-5, 6-4 in 1 hour and 49 minutes and claim her first Cincinnati Open title.
For Swiatek, this is her 24th career WTA Tour singles title and 11th at the WTA 1000 level. This is her second WTA title of 2025, which she won a month after she won Wimbledon.
"I don't know why I'm winning tournaments that I thought would be the last ones I ever imagined would happen," Swiatek said at the trophy presentation, as broadcast by the WTA.
