The World Boxing Council (WBC) said that undisputed super bantamweight (55.3 kg) world champion Naoya Inoue is in prime condition to defend his world title against Murodjon Akhmadaliev.
"The WBC recognizes the professionalism of Naoya Inoue, who has submitted a 30-day pre-weigh-in report, indicating that he is in top condition for this important fight," the WBC reported on the body's official website, as monitored in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Inoue will host Akhmadaliev at the IG Arena in Nagoya, Japan, which will be his second fight of the year, the day after Saul "Canelo" Alvarez fights Terence Crawford.
