Tijuana, February 2.- One of the objectives of the XXV City Council headed by Municipal President Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, is the protection and care of the environment to transform Tijuana into a sustainable city. As a result of this commitment, citizens are urged to report any activity that represents damage to the environment, through the "Green Button."
The project, which is part of the actions aimed at protecting the environment, was implemented by the Environmental Protection Directorate (DPA), which is responsible for the preservation, conservation, and restoration of ecological balance, including addressing, evaluating, and resolving problems related to environmental pollution.

In order to involve citizens in preserving the ecological balance, the Municipal Government implemented the "Green Button" for ecological reporting, which can be used by anyone to file a complaint with the Environmental Protection Directorate, either physically or digitally, for any activity that represents any type of environmental pollution.
The goal of this tool is to provide Tijuana residents with existing platforms and technologies to optimize reception times, transfers, and the costs involved in filing a complaint.
The digital environmental complaint will be identified with a Green Button, so that citizens can file their complaint when visiting the Tijuana City Council website. This will strengthen participation and the culture of reporting.
