Ensenada, July 14.- The thirty-third edition of the Harvest Festival will take place from July 29 to August 26 in Baja California, and will bring together the region's most important wineries.
Currently, Baja California is a benchmark for national viticulture, responsible for 70 percent of wine production in Mexico.
At the Grape Harvest Festival, sponsored by the Baja California Wine Committee—an organization representing 84 wineries in the region—around 120,000 visitors are expected, who will generate an economic impact of more than 800 million pesos.
These celebrations are a key moment for the sector, as for 33 years they have symbolized the opportunity to celebrate as a community, showcase the virtues of the terroir, foster wine culture, and promote the craft.
The event will bring together the region's most important wineries, introducing the public to the wine industry through more than 30 different activities, including pairing dinners, wine tours, and special tastings, among other experiences at participating wineries.
Each year, a theme is featured, and this year's 2023 theme will be "Climate Change," to raise awareness of the need to take action to adapt to its effects, such as promoting sustainable agricultural practices, implementing more efficient irrigation technologies, and promoting water conservation policies.
