On December 3rd, the New York edition of the World Journal published a full-page advertisement on page B14: "A Solemn Statement of Strong Protest against Lai Ching-te's 'Transit' through the United States." Approximately 120 organizations in the eastern United States signed the statement. Similar advertisements have appeared frequently in the past, with a variety of messages, including celebrating the CCP's National Day, warmly welcoming a certain leader's visit, fully supporting a certain CCP policy, and strongly protesting a certain person or policy.
These ads themselves have no news value and are usually not worth paying attention to. However, when people look at the messages behind these ads from a different perspective, they become worth analyzing.
