Mexicali, March 28. Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda led a tour of the "Corazones" program in the Los Santorales area of Mexicali.
During the tour, he supervised the "House-to-House Vaccination" operation in the Santo Niño neighborhood, where Ministry of Health personnel administered vaccines against measles, influenza, COVID-19, pneumococcus, tetanus, papillomavirus, and rotavirus.
He also visited the Mobile Health Caravans that were part of the event, offering free medical consultations and medications. He encouraged the public to take advantage of these services when the caravans visit their neighborhoods.
The governor also supervised the paving works underway on Zacatecas Street, one of the main thoroughfares in the area. The work is 97.7 percent complete, with an investment of 9.7 million pesos.
The governor also led the award ceremony for the three best teams participating in the "Intercolonias 2025" 7-a-side football tournament , which featured more than 100 young athletes.
The director of the Youth Institute (Injuve), Francisco Molina, reported that financial incentives of five thousand, ten thousand, and fifteen thousand pesos were given to the highest-ranking teams in the "Intercolonias" tournament.
