Tijuana, August 18.- The State Attorney General's Office, after receiving a citizen complaint , began an investigation against a member of the State Investigation Agency (AEI) for alleged assaults and abuse of authority.
The state attorney general, Ricardo Iván Carpio Sánchez, issued instructions for an immediate investigation into the reported incidents.
The Comptroller's Office and the Inspectorate initiated investigations. to determine whether there is any liability in the public servant's actions, and if so, he will be sanctioned accordingly.
"In this case, as in any other reported by citizens, in the event of improper conduct by any member of this institution, the State Attorney General's Office guarantees that it will be vigilant in safeguarding the integrity of the complainants and giving them full confidence that their complaints will be addressed immediately and objectively, all in strict compliance with the law," reads a press release.
