Mexicali, December 8.- Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda signed an agreement with the Institute to Return Stolen Goods to the People (Indep) to sell state assets.

"We have the trust, transparency, and confidence that we are guaranteed the best conditions for our state," he said, thanking the Director General of the INDEP, Ernesto Prieto Ortega, for working hand in hand with the Baja California government to make the best use of the resources that belong to its citizens. The governor emphasized the coordination the state administration has had with the National Institute of Public Prosecutions (INDEP) in training activities for conducting state auctions, and in promoting values such as transparency and the priority of ensuring the best possible use of public resources.

"Thanks to these auctions, we will transform unused or underutilized assets into public resources that will be reinvested in the well-being of Baja Californians who need them most and that will also be put to legitimate use. This revenue will be used to strengthen social, educational, and health programs. What we are doing is returning to the public what is rightfully theirs, the resources that rightfully belong to them," he stated.
