Moscow, November 18. US President Joe Biden's decision to allow Kiev to deploy long-range US missiles for strikes inside Russia will escalate the Ukrainian conflict, the Kremlin said.
In a major shift in his administration's policy on the Ukraine crisis, Biden authorized Kyiv to use U.S.-supplied long-range missiles, or the Army Tactical Missile System , to strike targets inside Russia.
“If such a decision were actually formulated and transmitted to the kyiv regime, then… this would mark a qualitatively new round of tensions and a qualitatively new situation in terms of US involvement in this conflict,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
He reiterated that Moscow's position on this matter must be clear to everyone.
