Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian has begun coordinating with Southeast Sulawesi Governor Andi Sumangerukka to prepare the acting Regent of East Kolaka.
Home Affairs Minister Tito conveyed this after the Consolidation Meeting and Acceleration of Operationalization of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative in Denpasar, Bali, Friday, in response to Regent Abdul Azis who was caught in a sting operation by the Corruption Eradication Commission.
"I have coordinated with the Governor Mr. Andi, to immediately whether or not he will be detained," he said.
"If the person concerned is not detained, they will continue to work. However, if they are detained, a letter will be issued from the governor, and I will also inform him that his deputy will become acting head," Tito Karnavian continued.
Until now, the Minister of Home Affairs said he still wanted to see the legal process progress, but it was certain that if the Regent of East Kolaka was found guilty, Yosep Sahaka would replace his position.
