Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo said the 2025 AMMAN Mineral Men's World Tennis Championship will have an impact on the development of national tennis, particularly in shaping the mentality and quality of young Indonesian tennis players.
"Tournaments like this provide an opportunity for our tennis players to face higher-ranked opponents. This is a valuable opportunity to improve their game through intense competitive experience," Dito said in a written statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
The tournament in Nusa Dua, Bali, from July 28 to August 3, is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour, which features world-class tennis players and provides opportunities for Indonesian athletes to compete at the international level.
The men's singles final in the M-15 category closed the tournament.
British tennis player Max Basing defeated Australian athlete Matthew Dellavedova 6-0 and 7-5, witnessed by Dito who presented the trophy to the champion.
Dito appreciated the tournament being held at the world-class racket sports facility.
"Today I visited the newly built Bali Beach Country Club, a world-class racket sports facility," said Dito.
