The Ministry of Communication and Digital has prepared a roadmap to accelerate the mastery of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in Indonesia.
Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid, as quoted in a ministry press release in Jakarta on Friday, stated that the strategy to accelerate mastery of AI technology begins with developing digital talent.
"This strategy begins with developing digital talent through national-scale training programs, partnerships with universities, and collaborations with global technology companies to transfer knowledge and expertise," said Meutya.
The government aims for these efforts to produce digital talents in the AI field who are not only capable of utilizing technology but also generating innovation.
"With this strategy, Indonesia is expected to transition from being a mere user to a producer of technology, strengthen its digital sovereignty, and secure a respectable position on the international digital economy stage," said Meutya.
