Alexander Sabar, Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Digital , said his office is currently conducting a final assessment regarding Roblox's compliance with applicable regulations.
"Currently, the digital platform oversight team is conducting a final assessment of Roblox's compliance with Indonesian regulations based on the results of the oversight audit and documents submitted by Roblox," Alexander said when confirmed.
Alexander said that when meeting with Roblox representatives, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology asked the online game to strengthen its platform's security standards for young users.
"This includes limiting access to content that is harmful to children," he said.
It is known that Roblox has been asked to comply with regulations, especially those related to child protection in the digital space as stipulated in Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of Electronic Systems for Child Protection (PP Tunas) and the Content Moderation Compliance System (SAMAN).
