Tijuana, September 17.- The head of the Office of the Attorney General, María del Carmen Espinoza Ochoa, through the Comptroller's Office and its Department of Patrimonial Accounts, in conjunction with the Chief Officer's Office , will monitor the process of removing the helicopter that crashed in November 2017 in La Morita, while it was participating in a pursuit operation .
Through a press release, the Internal Control Body reported that in May of this year, it received from the Chief Officer the request for the withdrawal of the parts of the MCDONNEL DOUGLAS 500 369-HS brand helicopter, model 1972, serial number 920414S Officer 97-254, without plates , belonging to the SSPCM, for its definitive withdrawal from the fixed asset registry of the City Council.
The Office of the Attorney General subsequently appealed to the Municipal Legal Department for a technical legal opinion, formally requesting that the requested deregistration process not violate other legal processes.
Final withdrawal from the helicopter
The Office of the Comptroller, upon receiving a response from the Municipal Legal Counsel, stating that the final decommissioning of the aforementioned aircraft does not violate any current or future legal process for the Tijuana City Council, began the work of final decommissioning of the damaged parts of the helicopter in accordance with the provisions of Technical Standard No. 36.
