Tijuana.- The National Action Party ( PAN ) spoke out against the decriminalization of abortion in Baja California, emphasizing that they are in favor of life from conception , and will therefore continue their awareness campaign among the population, reported Amintha Guadalupe Briceño Cinco.
The PAN legislator commented that she, along with her fellow party members Alejandrina Corral Quintero and Diego Echeverría Ibarra, will defend their position in the State Congress, seeking to reverse the initiative presented by the Morena faction.
In that sense, he said, they have held meetings with pro-life groups , so the provisions of the Baja California State Constitution and the current penal code must be taken into account, as well as analyzing the consequences of its eventual approval.
" We are going to join forces with the different political parties represented to come out as a bloc and defend the right to life from conception," he emphasized.
Finally, he indicated that his party's statutes include the right to life, so there are groups that have joined the PAN's position , recognizing that although they are not the majority, the ruling party has been open to carrying out its legislative work on this and other issues that affect the Baja California population.
