Tijuana, August 24.- The government of Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, through the Secretariat of Environmental Protection, held a massive reforestation campaign called "Let's Breathe Green" in the Tijuana Progreso neighborhood of the La Presa Este Delegation.
In this regard, Fernanda Sandoval Aldana, Secretary of Environmental Protection for the 25th Tijuana City Council, explained that this activity stems from the responsible planting program "Respiremos Verde" (Let's Breathe Green), revived and promoted by the agency under her charge, which has become a strategic effort to promote citizen participation and collective commitment to the environment.

Sandoval Aldana noted that the Environmental Protection Directorate (DPA) has worked with schools and communities lacking green spaces, prioritizing those areas with the greatest ecological and social vulnerability, such as the Tijuana Progreso neighborhood, where interventions were carried out at the request of local residents.
“Under the leadership of Mayor Ismael Burgueño, we are building a safer, fairer, and more sustainable city. Therefore, every tree we plant is a seed with which we resist the deterioration of our green spaces. I congratulate all the participants because I see great interest and commitment from their communities,” said the Secretary of Environmental Protection.
