Trustee Rafael Leyva consolidates efforts to combat corruption

Tijuana, August 14.- With the firm objective of preventing corruption risks from materializing into acts of corruption, the attorney general of the XXIV Tijuana City Council, Rafael Leyva Pérez, has instructed that training on Anti-Corruption Policies and Guidelines be implemented in all municipal public administration departments and agencies.

In light of the above, he mentioned that thanks to the timely follow-up by the Regulatory Directorate of the Office of the Attorney General, training has been provided to public servants working in six of the 83 entities of the Tijuana municipal government.

He emphasized that this is a significant step forward, as the Anti-Corruption Policies and Guidelines were only presented on July 24 of this year, at a forum attended by municipal officials and experts. Therefore, the expectation of completing all training sessions promptly is quite positive.

This training has been provided to staff from the Tijuana Beach and Centro districts, the Municipal Institute for Citizen Participation, the Municipal Secretariat of Public Education, the Municipal Institute against Addictions, and the Tijuana Municipal Promoter Trust.
