Chihuahua, January 23. Merchants linked to the LeBarón Mormon community, Miguel Ángel Moreno and Manuel Horacio Ríos, were found alive Tuesday afternoon in a store in the Largo Maderal district, following an operation by state police, the Mexican Army, and the National Guard.
Members of the LeBarón Mormon community traveled in a caravan of 50 cars from the municipality of Galeana to the city of Chihuahua this morning to protest at the government palace and demand the return of Miguel Ángel Moreno Sánchez and Manuel Horacio Ríos Jacob, who were kidnapped Sunday while on a motorcycle excursion along a road leading to the Largo Maderal district in the municipality of Madera.
Mormons initially asked for help on Monday to find Christian Bruce LeBarón Jhonson , Miguel Ángel Moreno Sánchez, Shem Lamar Stubbs Gwin and Manuel Horacio Ríos Jacob, but Christian and Shem Lamar were located early Tuesday morning.
In a message on the social network X, Adrián LeBarón called for the caravan and the demonstration, and also spread a video of the Mormon Lenzo Widmar in San Buenaventura, who demanded the release of Miguel and Horacio, and explained “they are good men and merchants from the municipality of Buenaventura, they were kidnapped along with two LeBarón citizens, and the two citizens of LeBarón have already been released.”
