Vanenburg announces 23-man squad for 2026 AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers

Indonesian U-23 national team coach Gerald Vanenburg announced 23 young Garuda players for the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers to be played at Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo on September 3-9.

this list of 23 players, Vanenburg brought the majority of players from the ASEAN U-23 Championship which ended as finalists in Jakarta last July.

Bali United and PSM Makassar are the clubs that contributed the most players to the Garuda Muda in the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, namely three players.

Bali included Jens Raven, Kadek Arel, and Rahmat Arjuna, while PSM was represented by Muhammad Ardiansyah, Ananda Raehan, and Ricky Pratama.

The squad features three naturalized players: Raven, Rafael Struick, and Dion Markx. This marks the NEC Nijmegen U-21 player's first call-up to the U-23 national team, having earned two caps for the U-20 national team in friendlies.

Meanwhile, for Struick, this marks his comeback for the Garuda Muda after his last appearance for the team more than a year ago at the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar.
