Tijuana, April 7. On Sunday afternoon, a shooting in the area known as Los Arenales in Playas de Rosarito caused a stir and a police operation. Although witnesses reported four people injured, their whereabouts, condition, and identity are still unknown. The only things they found at the scene were bloodstains, shell casings from long and short-barreled weapons, and two abandoned vehicles. The only information available is private testimony about the death toll, as there is still no official information.
The incident mobilized personnel from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), the State Citizen Security Forces (FESC), the State Investigation Agency (AEI), and the Red Cross, whose work was limited to collecting evidence, including two abandoned vehicles, a Jeep Rubicon with license plates C71NSM9 and a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, with license plates 2JP6828, both apparently from California, which have no reports.
Official information about the report indicates that it was received via 911 at 6:34 p.m. on Sunday; the call indicated that "four people were apparently injured" and the alleged perpetrators fled in three vehicles "to an unknown destination."
An initial update to the police report revealed the discovery of bloodstains and two cartridges, one from a handgun and one from a rifle, in addition to the abandoned vehicles; the second update detailed that the evidence was found in the Jeep Rubicon.
