Xiaomi, in addition to preparing a range of budget-friendly phones, is currently also preparing to introduce its high-end phones, namely the Xiaomi 16 series.

This top-tier lineup is known for its superior photography capabilities, and recent reports suggest that the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro will also continue this reputation with major camera upgrades.

A Gizmochina report, Friday, took information from technology leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) indicating that these two models will no longer use the 32 MP front camera with f/2.0 that is already present in the Xiaomi 13 series.

Instead, Xiaomi will introduce a new 50MP sensor camera with a wider field of view, autofocus, and support for smooth 4K 60fps video recording. This feature will be useful for selfies and vlogging.

On the rear camera, both phones will be equipped with a 1/1.31 inch main sensor with a size of 50 MP.

The Xiaomi 16 Pro will feature improved dynamic range and a sensor for better depth detection in portrait mode. Leica image processing has also been improved.
