Tijuana, August 28. With music, gifts, and a community festival, Grandparents' Day was celebrated this Thursday morning at the Tijuana Sports Complex, located on the West Expressway.
Dozens of seniors attended the event and participated in various activities, including food, in an atmosphere of conviviality and recognition of their life journey.
During the event, the municipal president, Ismael Burgueño, presented gifts to those attending and crowned Yolanda Acuña and Félix González as the kings of the festival.
In his speech, the mayor mentioned that grandparents are the heart of the family , which is why it is important to celebrate and recognize them.
"You are the heart of the family, you are the authority of the family, whatever grandma or grandpa says is done and fulfilled," he said.
