Tijuana, August 26. At an event led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño on the esplanade of the Monument to the Mother, a total of 300 women were sworn in as "health ambassadors," an initiative focused on prevention and promoting well-being in the city's communities .
During his speech, the mayor highlighted the importance of this program as a preventive measure that seeks to strengthen the bond between citizens, the government, and health institutions.
She noted that this initiative seeks to raise awareness about self-care and disease prevention , and that the ambassadors will be a key link between health services and the community.
Viridiana Flores Flores, director of Prevention, Control, and Sanitation for the Tijuana City Council, explained that the participants submitted a letter of intent detailing their interest in participating in the program.
